If you need prayer time Kuwait today, you are in the right place. The table below gives you today’s times first, so you do not have to scroll for them.
| Prayer | Time today |

| Dhuhr | 11:34 AM |

These are today’s times for Kuwait, from the live IslamicFinder widget below. The widget is the exact source for today’s and tomorrow’s times, so use the widget for any day after today. The table above does not update itself. It is a guide to today’s times only, and times change a little each day.
Five Daily Prayers in Kuwait
There are five daily prayers in Kuwait. Fajr comes before sunrise, and its time ends at sunrise. Dhuhr is the late-morning prayer. Asr is the afternoon prayer. Maghrib is at sunset. Isha is the night prayer, and in Kuwait it comes a little more than an hour after Maghrib.
The Asr time in the table is the standard time used in Kuwait mosques. If you follow the Hanafi school, your Asr time is later. In the Hanafi way, Asr starts when the shadow of an object is twice as long as the object itself. Check your mosque or your app’s Hanafi setting for that time, because this page does not print a Hanafi clock-time for today.
Friday Prayer in Kuwait
On Fridays, there is no normal Dhuhr prayer. Instead, there is Jummah, the Friday group prayer. First there is a short talk, called a khutbah. Then the prayer follows right after it. The whole Friday prayer usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
Friday prayer follows the Dhuhr time for that day, so on a Friday, check that day’s table or widget for the Dhuhr time. Go early. Large mosques in Kuwait fill up fast on Fridays. Not every small mosque holds a Friday prayer, and each mosque sets its own khutbah time, so check with the mosque first if you are new to an area.
Shia Prayer Times in Kuwait
Some readers in Kuwait follow the Shia school, and their prayer times can be different from the table above. This is most noticeable around Maghrib and Isha, because the Shia school follows a different method for working out those times. If you follow the Shia school, do not use this page’s table as your final times.
This page does not print Shia clock-times for today. Shia times should come from your own mosque or authority’s announcement, because that is the source that follows your school’s method. If your app has a Shia or Jafari setting, check that it is set that way, and follow your mosque’s announcement for the group prayer.
Mosques and Areas in Kuwait
Kuwait is a small country, so prayer times across the country sit within minutes of the Kuwait City times in the table above. This page covers Kuwait as one country, including the areas people search for most: Salmiya, Farwaniya, Hawally, Jahra, Fahaheel, Mahboula, Mangaf, Jleeb, Sabah al Salem, Jabriya, Ardiya, and Abdali. Use the Kuwait City widget above as your reference, and your local mosque as your final check when you travel inside Kuwait.
Mosques in Kuwait are working mosques first. Dress modestly, and visit outside prayer times if you only want to see the building. Each mosque sets its own iqamah time and its own Friday time, so ask at the mosque nearest you for the time that matters for your visit.
Why Your App May Show a Different Time
If your app shows a different time from the table above, check three things, in this order. First, check the city. Is your app set to Kuwait City, or to Kuwait as the country? Second, check the method. The widget on this page uses the Muslim World League method. Under this method, Fajr is set when the sun is 18.0 degrees below the horizon, and Isha is set when the sun is 17.0 degrees below the horizon. That is an angle, not a fixed number of minutes, so the gap between Maghrib and Isha changes a little through the year. Third, check Asr. In the standard way, Asr starts when the shadow of an object is as long as the object itself. In the Hanafi way, it starts when the shadow is twice as long. That is why Hanafi Asr is later.
Other trusted pages label Kuwait’s method differently. Some name the official timetable of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait, and some use other methods altogether. That is why their Isha for the same day can differ from this page by a few minutes, even when the city is right. If all three checks above are right and the time still looks a little different, trust your local mosque. Small differences of a minute or two between trusted sites are usually rounding, not a mistake.
Eid Prayer in Kuwait
Eid prayer in Kuwait is in the morning, after sunrise. It is prayed in a group. The exact time for each Eid is announced by local mosques close to the day. This page does not print an Eid time, because no verified Kuwait Eid time can be fixed in advance. Check your local mosque’s announcement before Eid, and arrive early.
Questions About Prayer Time in Kuwait
What is prayer time Kuwait today?
Check the table at the top of this page for today, and the live widget below it for tomorrow. Times change a little each day, so do not use one day’s table for another day.
What time is Friday prayer in Kuwait?
Friday prayer replaces Dhuhr on Fridays. There is a short talk first, then the prayer. The whole prayer usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. Check that Friday’s table or widget for the Dhuhr time, and go early, because large mosques fill up fast.
Why does my app show a different time from Kuwait mosques?
Check three things: your city, your method, and your Asr setting. Your city must be Kuwait City or Kuwait. Your method must match the widget on this page, which uses the Muslim World League method. If you follow the Hanafi school, your Asr setting must be Hanafi. If all three are right, trust your local mosque.
Is Shia prayer time in Kuwait different?
Yes, it can be different, mainly around Maghrib and Isha, because the Shia school follows a different method. This page does not print Shia times. Shia readers should follow their own mosque or authority’s announcement for their times.
Are prayer times the same across Kuwait?
No, each place has its own sunrise and sunset, so each place has its own times. But Kuwait is small, so area times sit within minutes of the Kuwait City table above. Use the widget and your local mosque as the final check when you travel inside Kuwait.
